Once they were settled and Daphne had her drink ordered, she opened the menu and looked at the selection. She could understand what was written there, at least. She was just being a little too hard on herself though.
"What kind of portrait did you do for Oliver?" she asked, glancing up from her menu to look at him. She wouldn't have usually wanted to discuss work over dinner, but Daphne was very interested in the things he did. It wasn't like he had a job like hers, where the biggest thing to talk about was sales figures.
