While Jack Abbott wasn't completely settled with this new boy, it was obvious that he made Hannah happy. It had been a long time since he had seen such a twinkle in Hannah's eyes. Her happiness was all that he had ever wanted. While Jack knew that his daughter was doing quite well as a single mother, he hadn't known too much about Neville. Hannah had always said that her friends helped. When they had been formally introduced at dinner, Hannah had said a good amount of that help had come from Neville. That was a rather good booster as far as Jack's opinion of the boy went, even if the obvious case of the nerves was a tad irritating.
"Uh?" Jack asked casually with a glance toward Neville before taking another sip of his drink. "Tell me, how long have you been friends with my daughter, exactly?"
