It wasn't a surprise that she didn't recognize Stephen right away. He was 'incognito', wearing his hat and glasses to avoid being spotted. When Lavender turned the corner and came crashing into him, he'd been watching someone across the street, and hadn't even seen it coming. He wobbled on his feet, throwing out an arm to keep his balance. "Whoa..."

And then there was the explosion of glitter all around them. He couldn't help but break into his trademark smile as he looked up and around at the sparkling air. "You sure know how to make an entrance."
