The DMLE responded today to a mid-morning owl about a muggle killing. The victim, Jeremy Andrews, was found by his wife (Witch and Leaky Cauldron Operator, Hannah Andrews) and daughter when they arrived home from an appointment. Mrs. Andrews' boss, Tom Pontner, had received a death threat just the day before for not handing down his business to a Pureblooded witch or wizard. Because of this threat, Aurors were called to the scene and a suspect has been named.

Muggle neighbors recalled seeing a slight form, dressed in a cloak. Inspection of a muggle recording device used to capture traffic accidents revealed an image that has been identified as wanted Death Eater Cecily Winchester, fleeing the scene. Miss Winchester was known for threatening, harassing, and kidnapping muggle-born proprietors of wizarding businesses during the war, but has been in hiding since May of 1998.

A security detail has been assigned to Mrs. Andrews while the investigation continues.
