Nope. Daphne didn't get it. As much as she tried to fight against it, she was still caught up in what the rest of the Greengrass family wanted for her. Namely, their father and Alcide. Which led her to believe that that was what their mother wanted for her too.
Daphne knew that Astoria was correct. That she had everything that most women of her age could only dream about, but that wasn't enough. Daphne wouldn't be satisfied until she had everything that she wanted. And the trouble was that the one thing she wanted the most, she didn't have yet. "No. You still don't understand." Daphne paused, trying to carefully chose her words. "I'm jealous that you won't have to deal with the man you're dating wondering if you approve of what the Dark Lord did or not, that you won't need to worry about whether or not Alcide is sitting his cell, thinking about how he can escape and kill him." Perhaps that last was a bit dramatic, but Daphne wouldn't have put it past their eldest brother to do something like that. "Or his family saying nasty things about you because of who our family is. I had to deal with that when I was with Percy. Despite what you may think, everything in life hasn't come easy for me and I'd like it to be in just this one area."
