"To put the man I love in the spotlight is another. Especially in relation to something that she should've felt fine talking to me about in the first place. She talked about how worried she was about Dean, but she never said she was jealous. She never said she hated me. I won't bring it up or press her about it for awhile. She needs to recover and, after all of this is done, so will I. My sister, who I've told so much to and never felt the need to use a mental filter with, hasn't been telling me her honest opinion." Of course, Astoria hadn't come forward with some information about how far her relationship with Draco had progressed. This really wasn't a result of a filter, but more a matter of not seeing her sister recently. Giving repeated updates over the journal felt impersonal and silly, so she hadn't. Now, she wondered how Daphne would react if she knew the truth.
The cheeky offer got a smile out of her and, again, distracted her from the frustrating topic of her sister. "Mm, and what would the gossip be if I quit having a flat? 'Draco Malfoy is keeping his girlfriend in his wardrobe hidden from his mummy dearest - what's next for the wacky Malfoy heir?'" Astoria teased with the worst sounding gossip piece she could think of. Narcissa stood for Astoria being around, but even so Astoria wasn't sure what Draco's mother would think if rumors started to fly.
