Angelina nodded. She left the cookies with him and turned for the front door. She cared about Miles, but she wasn't sure she could say she loved him. She was too afraid of being hurt to let herself go and just as she had been getting comfortable enough to fall for him, he had raised mistrust. And now she wasn't sure she could ever trust him again.
Maybe it wasn't fair to blame him for what he did when he was hexed, but really it just made Angelina think about what he was coming from. It did bother her that he had been with so many women, even if he was faithful now.
Angelina headed quickly home to put on a kettle of hot water and splash some Kahlua in her cocoa. She had to think hard about this one.
