Penelope felt like a student being scolded for some sort of wrongdoing; it was almost like being back in school. She felt like she deserved every single harsh word Percy used against her. The anger drained away and left her deflated. "You're right, of course. I'm sorry," Penny said quietly, looking away. She still didn't understand how he could not want to hear about the argument. Penelope was impatient and waiting was a foreign concept to her. "I didn't want to make tonight any more odd and tense than it had to be.
