"I barely understood it myself," Percy said, his temper lowering to a slow simmer, arms still crossed. "It was irrational and confusing, which is why I wanted to leave in order to sort out what was happening. As far as I could tell, it was some knee-jerk reaction due to our relationship in the past. Once I understood that, I was fine." That's what he told himself, and that's what he wanted to believe.
"Ron got away with it because he's Ron, friend of Harry Potter and youngest Weasley boy." He shook his head. "I don't want to speak about this any more. I sound like a whiner, wrestling for sympathy, and that's not what I want."
