Penelope was certain she hadn't heard a tirade like this from Percy in all the time that they'd known each other and she was willing to bet that no one in Percy's family had heard anything like this, either. It might help the situation if they did hear it, honestly. As it was, Penny was having trouble keeping the burning sensation in her eyes under control. She was pretty certain that her tears would only upset him and start him apologizing - something he just said he was tired of doing.
"I do think Ron was out of line, honestly, Percy, I do. Your reaction was just so..unexpected." Penny moved towards the table again, but decided not to sit. Instead, she leaned against the wall near him and swirled her refilled wineglass. She took a fortifying sip before continuing on. "The way you reacted didn't really make any sense." She was sure she'd get a tongue-lashing for saying so, but it was true. "Ron didn't really understand why you'd just storm out. No one did. He did overreact, though, and I don't know why he got away with that. It isn't my business."
She sighed deeply, squeezing her eyes shut and willing the burning in her eyes to subside. Penelope hadn't properly cried since the war and was not going to let today be the day the dry spell ended.
