Penelope was relieved that he had taken the time to change out of his business clothes. The last thing she wanted to see was Professional Percy acting far too proper during a casual dinner between friends. He still ended up looking about five times dressier than she did, but that could have been the robes. She'd always hated wearing robes at school.
"Thanks!" she said. People weren't over that often, but she always enjoyed having company. Her flat was wonderful for entertaining people; she just never got the chance! "You like that one?" Penny asked. "It's one of my older ones. Still a favorite of mine, though."
Glancing at the clock, Penny rushed over to take the meal out of the oven. "Hopefully you don't mind teriyaki chicken, broccoli and rice?" she called back across her flat as she magicked plates out of the cupboard. She scooped out a serving of rice and placed a chicken breast on each plate, putting the crispy baked broccoli on the side. "I've been eating terribly lately. I feel disgusting," she explained, setting the plates down on her dark wooden kitchen table. "What would you like to drink?"
