WHO: Ginny, Neville, baby James WHAT: A visit WHEN: Monday afternoon WHERE: Potter House
Neville had decided to fore go a lunch break to get off early. He worked less than forty hours at the ministry (unless they were in a state of emergency, as they had been so often the last few months) and he could skip lunch to be out by 2p if he came in for 8. Neville was done the first half of his sandwich by the time he got into the elevator and by the time the lift got done accepting and spewing passengers out onto each floor and made it to the atrium, he was finishing the second half.
He made it out of the wards, past security, and twisted on the spot. He landed miles away in front of the Potter house, feeling a bit sick from apparating with food so fresh in his stomach. He got his bearings and went to knock on the front door. Neville remembered his work attire, though, and took off his tie. He shoved it into his briefcase. He was left in a collared shirt and a red sweater, which was still rather formal but better than showing up with a necktie. He raised his hand again and knocked hard. He hoped it didn't wake the baby.
