Who: Parvati and Verity Where: Madam Malkin's Robes Shop When: Friday afternoon What: Planning for Verity's wedding dress
Between the shop and her flat just above, Parvati hadn't been out much since the werewolf attack. She had previously sympathized with those who bore the scars from a wolf, her closest friend was one of them, but she had never truly understood. Thankfully for the quick action of the Aurors, she only had one scar herself, and it had only been a scratch rather than a bite, and thus Parvati didn't have the sorts of cravings she knew others to have. It was for the most part down her shoulder, something easily covered during the cold months. But she found herself wrapping up tight in sweaters, as a small bit peeked out up her neck to the bottom of her left ear and jaw. Parvati had never been one to have any reason to feel conscious for her appearance, and now she did. It didn't settle well. She sometimes felt her appearance was all she had.
Sitting in one of the back rooms at Madam Malkin's shop, she had pulled out some of Madam's bridal books, and along with a sketchpad, fabric samples, and measuring devices, laid them out across a large cutting table. She had never created a wedding gown before, but she knew enough about them from magazines and had sketched a few that she knew it wouldn't be too difficult for her skill level. It was just a matter of having enough time, and of understanding Verity's tastes to get it just right. Pushing her hair out of her face, she waited for the other girl to arrive for her appointment.
