"I....what!" Ginny spluttered, a forkful of food halfway to her mouth as Hannah talked about not holding babies while they slept. She was sure that it was brilliant advice and knew it was coming from someone far more experienced than she was on the subject, but it was a bitter pill to swallow. Cuddling James was one of the things she was looking forward too and Hannah was telling her it was best to do as little of it as possible.
It was, frankly, a little depressing.
"There isn't a shower to be invited too. Audrey wanted to plan one, but she's been busy and its not like I need one. Harry and I can buy everything we need, so no one has to feel obligated to buy nappies or bottles." she explained this with a shrug, eating the final crisp on her plate. Ginny wasn't hung up on having a party to celebrate having a baby, parties didn't sound appealing when she was carrying around another person. She also wasn't thrilled with the idea of a bunch of women sitting around "aahhing" at the presents or playing the truly terrible games that had been played at the two other baby showers she had been too in her life.
She appreciated the thought, but Ginny liked the thought of having a post-nursing cocktail party instead of seeing who could change nappies the fastest, a game which her mum would win without contest.
"No I do trust you. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful or bitchy or anything I just.....yeah. Overwhelmed I suppose."
