"I...yeah." Ginny said, her eyebrows drawn together as she stared at Harry. "But maybe Audrey would be stupid to say no in the first place." And obviously by Audrey Ginny meant herself. She was going to feel guilty about that particular screw-up for the rest of her life. It certainly hadn't been her finest moment.
What Ginny knew of that relationship was based on her personal interaction with George and Audrey and the general feeling she got from them. She had no idea, and no way to know, what they were like in their own home on their own time but her gut was saying that they probably wouldn't last if George asked and Audrey said no. She thought it'd eat at George until he couldn't stand it anymore.
"I think it would eventually. George would try to let it go, but it'd keep eating at him until he had to say something which would make it incredibly messy and complicated."
