Who: Merlin's Pants minus Lilah. :O What: A chat. Where: Loft kitchen. When: After this was found.
Words couldn't describe the pain in Megan's heart. She'd been absolutely shocked for most of the day, but now, it had all sunk down deep within her and manifested itself as a strong, rumbling pain in her chest. What had they done? What had she done? Had they not discussed this, talked about the consequences of their decisions? And here it was, plain as day and far quicker than anyone had expected. Lilah was gone. There was no easy way of saying it, no way of making it sound any better than it was. Perhaps Megan or Laura could take up the singing for now, but their band, in essence, was dead.
Being a well-bred Hufflepuff meant that when times got hard, the best method of coping was to do some cooking. So far, Megan had baked two cakes, a batch of cookies and an apple pie. For some reason, her nerves required her to overload on sweets. It was probably a good thing that she wasn't out there getting plastered like perhaps the others would have. Instead, she was drizzling chocolate syrup on a fresh batch of brownies she'd pulled out of the oven. What had given her the crazy idea to call a meeting for the band was beyond her. Maybe she wanted to get everything straightened out once and for all. Maybe she wanted to make everything better somehow. Or maybe, she just didn't want to be alone.
