The first of the men had been quietly stalking Verity, following her from work to the picnic. He had called his friends and two more had arrived. The mastermind behind the wolf project, Dante Burke, and his right hand man, Robert Parks, had stayed at their base to keep an eye on their prisoner, Fenrir Greyback. They had to keep him safe. He was the source.
The first one to attack was Nero Gamp, a thin, tall, pale wizard with dark hair and black eyes. The Aurors had their eyes on him, though. Just before he could reach Parvati, Harry got him with a well-aimed stunning spell and he fell flat on his face. Oriax Mullin, the second attacker, barely made it out of the bushes when he was tackled by Neville.
The third and final wolf in the team, Timothy Dorado, dodged three stunners (he had been a Quidditch player at school) and was caught up by a tripping jinx. He landed hard in front of Verity, a wild look of panic in his eyes. He grabbed her arm, pulling himself closer to her in a last ditch attempt to do some damager. Dorado sank his teeth into his arm seconds before Harry got him with another stunner.
