"LAURA? LAURA, WHERE ARE YOU?" Megan wasn't one to yell much, nor was she one to apparate with much expertise. But if there was something Megan truly believed in, it was the sanctity of friendship. Her band mates were her dearest friends, essentially a part of her family. When one of them needed her, she would drop whatever she was doing and run to them. Much like she had on this day. Having spent so little time with her mother, Megan apologized profusely, hardly even able to explain to her the situation other than telling her she needed to get back to their flat. She thought she could spare some time in order to pack, but after reading Laura's insistence and Stephen's assessment of her condition, she knew she just couldn't wait.
Slipping off her shoes, Megan took off toward Laura's room. She wasn't sure if she was there or in the kitchen or what. Maybe she was in her (Megan's) room, but she was going to check Laura's room first. "Laura? Stephen? Anyone?" She didn't know if the others were home or if Stephen had taken off to her mother's house by then. All she knew was that she needed to get to Laura. Somehow, she would comfort her, or just spend the night hugging her like Laura had done for her on the night of the thunderstorm. They were like sisters, and it went beyond the Hufflepuff pride. Megan loved her dearly, and she couldn't even imagine the horrors that poor girl had been privy to.
