1am and beyond.
Five hours of partying seemed to be what the vast majority could take. Most people were either asleep in various spots in the house, or had left for the comfort of their own homes. Of course there were always a few stragglers who wanted to party just a wee bit longer, and that was fine with Ginny. She had thrown the party with the idea of everyone having fun.
With so many of the attendees having left or moved into other portions of the house she had set about cleaning up. Magic was the only way she was really willing to do anything at 1am, and it also kept her from thinking to much since she needed to concentrate.
But even with spells filling her mind she hadn't quite forgotten the fact that it seemed Harry had missed his party altogether, or not been present for much of it in the actual room. It was possible he had spent it upstairs with some other people where it was a bit quieter but it still bothered Ginny. It left the impression in her mind that he had wanted something different for his birthday and just merely told her what he had thought she wanted to hear. It sucked because Harry's birthday was possibly the most important thing that happened all year, it was important like all birthdays but even moreso because he hadn't gotten to properly celebrate one until he spent them at The Burrow with an actual party.
She couldn't stand it to know that she had gotten one completely wrong.
Waving her wand she gathered the rest of the food from the table, all of it floating down the hallway towards the kitchen where it would pack itself and float to its respective storage space under her watchful eyes as she sat on a barstool with a glass of pumpkin juice.
