WHO: Ginny Potter, Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, and ALL the invitees WHEN: July 30, 2004. WHERE: Compound Potter RATING: TBA (below NC-17 please) STATUS: Incomplete SUMMARY: Party, party party!
Ginny had inherited her love of planning parties from her mother, there was no doubt about that. She had thrown as much time and patience into planning Harry and Neville's birthday party as she had her own wedding. In her eyes, celebrating Harry and Neville's birthdays after they had several years where neither day was really that important (or acknowledged in Harry's case) meant that you had to make it bigger and better.
Having a pool party had really just been because she wanted to use the pool. The impromptu afternoon with Ron, Hermione, Hannah, Lizzie, and Neville had gone over well and she could imagine that the same would be sad for a larger group. Of course children weren't allowed at this party (with the exception of James), and there were other things in the house that people could entertain themselves with, Ginny had actually charmed signs (mostly as a joke, albeit a useful one) to give everyone directions to navigate the house.
A small collection of movies were waiting in the home theatre, the sound system had been charmed to pipe through the entire house with another stack of muggle and magical music available to be played on it, the kitchen was covered in various food buffets, and the pool area had every single item Harry had bought for it plus the few Ginny had added for the party spread around for anyone to use.
At the far end of the room stood the table that held the cake, a large creation by Audrey that made an elaborate sandcastle which seemed to have formed out of the magically made beach which served to cover the tile floor. There were even palm trees configured from sticks Ginny had gathered in the backyard, tiki torches, flower leis, and every other possible decoration to really make the indoor pool feel like a beach in the middle of the ocean.
The tiki hut bar stood in the corner of the room fully stocked with various drinks for the party goers to help themselves with, and presents were being deposited in the corner underneath two large tiki masks - Harry's had painted on glasses in order to tell them apart.
