WHO: George Weasley and OTA
WHAT: Down time after work
WHEN: July 19, evening
WHERE: The Leaky Cauldron

There was only so much time one could spend at work before being utterly sick of it. Things were getting done now that Verity was back at work and helping him more and more, but there was still a lot to do and after a while, he couldn't take it anymore. He just needed some time to sit and think and maybe have a drink. He clutched his work robes close as he walked into the Leaky Cauldron, smiling over at Hannah behind the bar.

The crowd was pretty sparse that night and he glanced around before he ordered himself a firewhiskey. The waitress was pretty, but there were important things to think about. George wanted to take Audrey somewhere nice, they needed some time alone. Maybe somewhere out east. He sipped his drink as he contemplated what it would take for them to go on vacation even when the summer was the busiest season for the shop. It was then that someone caught his eye, someone he thought looked familiar.

Taking Anthony to Tel Aviv to get his arm replaced had been an interesting - if occasionally nerve-wracking - adventure, but Terry was glad it was over. He was used to leaping out windows and hanging on for dear life on his own, not with a friend. And even though Anthony had proven quite capable of defending himself, it was good to know that they didn't have to face down mobsters or paranoid wizards on the lam.

There was nothing in his fridge to come back to, though, and Terry wasn't in the mood to go grocery shopping. A quick meal at the Leaky Cauldron would do for now.

A flash of red hair immediately caught his attention when he stepped in: hair that could only belong to a Weasley. Terry offered George a wave when he recognized the man; he hadn't known the twins too well in school, but there was something about fighting for their lives against evil wizards that really helped form a bonding experience.

So he did recognize him, vaguely. Terry was a few years younger then him and if it weren't for the DA, they probably never would have met, but they had and George never refused company. George gestured over to his table and smiled "You want a drink?" With that, he took another sip of his glass. It was never fun to drink alone, and even someone who was just an acquaintance was better than no one.

Terry felt much the same. He spent far too much time on his own - and as someone else - in the course of his job, and it was always good to return to being himself, around people who knew him as himself. In a way, it helped him remind himself of who he really was.

"Sure," he said, smiling amiably as he wandered over. He took a seat opposite George and glanced over the rest of the room before returning his gaze to the redhead. Too used to looking for exits and threats. "It's been a while. How're you doing, George?" No more mixing the two twins up anymore; there was only one left now.

George would be the first to admit that it was hard to shake certain habits, especially when one's life has depended on them. There was something about Terry's glancing around that seemed odd, though not odd enough to incite questions about it. He just leaned into the table and called over the waitress to get Terry's drink situation straightened out first.

"Me? Doing pretty well. Still healthy, the shop's been holding up, not much else I can ask for."

Terry ordered a butterbeer - they didn't do a proper one in Israel - before turning back to the conversation at hand. "Any new products you're working on?" he asked curiously. It'd been a long time since he'd gone to the joke shop; he wondered how George was faring, making up products on his own.

"Working on a quidditch line at the moment. Toy bludgers, snitches that explode when you catch 'em, things like that." George smiled and sipped at his glass again. He knew he should be inventing more, introducing more products into the store, but he was in a bit of a creative rut. There were times, days, weeks, months even when he couldn't think of a single thing, but he had to push though to make a living

Terry, however, was impressed by the idea as it were. "Brilliant," he said with a laugh. "They ought to be a hit at pickup-up quidditch games."

The waitress came by with Terry's butterbeer, and he lifted his glass to George before taking a sip. "I'm definitely going to have to stop by one of these days."

"I just need to get the snitches to stop burning after they explode. Caught fire to my hair a couple times." George was beaming as Terry lifted his glass to him. It was nice to be able to talk about the shop without actually being there. And with a stiff drink in his hand.

"What have you been doing with yourself lately? It's been years" George grinned over the rim of his glass as he took another drink, they were chatting it up like two old ladies. But it had been years since they'd spoken and reconnecting was more than welcome.

"Helping my father out on his projects," Terry said smoothly. "He works on bringing drinking water to desert cities, and the latest project is a water filtration project for Cairo."

Everything about that was true - except for the part where Terry was involved at all. Then again, spies didn't really go around announcing their occupations. "It's very Muggle, but it's been hard to...you know, get back to the wizarding world."
