WHO: Everyone invited WHERE:Ginny's house WHEN: Saturday, February 27, 2004 STATUS: Incomplete SUMMARY: Ron's birthday party....whoo!!!
It had been a long night spent curled in uncomfortable chairs at St. Mungo's while Harry recovered from the injuries he had received while attempting to arrest Rabastan Lestrange with Ron, and another Auror who Ginny didn't really recognize (she had also forgotten to ask his name in her shock and worry over Harry).
Even so, in the early hours of the morning it had looked as if there would be no party since Ginny wasn't intending on going anywhere until Harry could also leave. However he had been released, and the rest of the day had been spent in a rush of putting things together and making sure Harry was comfortable.
Ginny's house was the sort that just invited you in. It was a fair assumption that her personal style had been heavily influenced by the decor of The Burrow considering that nearly everything in the house had come from an antique store or had been saved from the rubbish and banished to the backyard until Ginny had the time to fix it up and make it her own.
It was the type of house that was equally comfortable, well loved, but still with just enough polish and style that it didn't look worn out. And it was Ginny's down the very last detail, although she had made certain changes and compromises over the year to accommodate the inclusion of Harry as practically a full-time resident, and Teddy eventually receiving his own room just down the hall from the one that she often shared with Harry.
The house had been rearranged slightly for a party as tables had been magically enlarged to fit enough food and drinks to feed the guests within the small confines of the kitchen. Extra chairs had been added for people to never be without a place to sit, and Ginny had even done some extensive charmwork to allow everyone to slip outside and still be warm while doing so.
She had even remembered to set the radio to the WNN and let it play softly via the muggle speaker system installed throughout the house. But the muggle music was obviously an option if someone felt the urge to become a disc jockey.
Once 8p.m. arrived Ginny honestly hadn't been sure how she had gotten everything done. Somehow though, it had happened and she had even gotten enough time for a quick shower and fix of her hair before the guests began trickling in.
But as the clock rolled from 8 to 9 she had to admit that she was pleased with how things had turned out, even Snitch seemed to be enjoying himself as he wandered through the bodies cluttering up the room.
