Original Fic (light Zander/Leah) [week 1 - prompt #1]
Title: Interrogation Author: kairiku Rating: PG to be safe Warnings: Implied torture. Word Count: 383 Summary: Leah has been here with Zander for a week. Author's Notes: If original fic isn't allowed, let me know and I'll write something else. ._.
Leah has been here with Zander for a week. (Okay, maybe 'here with Zander' isn't the right term. 'Here awaiting further orders after kidnapping Zander' is more like it.) She's surprised that no one's come looking for him yet; she knows Austin's too sure in his ability to protect the people he cares about (and he hasn't done too good a job of that, so far. Leah has no clue why he thinks he can protect anyone.) to keep her alliance a secret.
She tells Zander that it's because they don't care about him.
"You're lying," he says, struggling against the ropes and chains (they'd had a few incidents where he'd nearly escaped. It was a shame they didn't know exactly what would hold him - Leah could already see that he was starting to break the chains. The rope had never had a chance.) that bound him.
She smiles. "Then why aren't they here? You three came for Rory and I the second you found out where we were, didn't you?"
"Something must've happened," he insists, and she laughs.
"You really are naïve, but I didn't just come in here to chat," she tells him. "Are you going to tell me today?"
"Tell you what?" he asks, a smirk on his face, and she wants to slap him.
"You know as well as I do," she snaps. "Where your precious friends have gone and disappeared to."
"No, I don't know. I told you, my grandfather decides. For all I know, they're on their way to China now."
"Ah, your grandfather," she muses. "Perhaps I'll have to have a chat with him..."
"You don't know where he is," Zander says.
"You're right. This is a problem. You're sure you won't tell me?"
"Never," he says defiantly.
Leah turns on her heel and leaves, signaling the guard as she goes. She ignores his screams of pain, too frustrated to pay attention.
She's not so sure anymore that this is where she wants to be, but she's stuck; Zander and the rest will never trust her now, she has nowhere else to go, and if she refuses to do as her father says, she has no doubts that he'll just kill her. Escaping sure wouldn't help - Dean's been trying to for ten years and he still hasn't succeeded.
She sighs. For now, I'll wait and see what happens.
