WHO: Davi Maryam Alizadeh [USA] & Libby Will Ross [NEW ZEALAND]
WHAT: In her never ending quest for cute clothing, Maryam stups by Libby/Will's room to see if she can borrow something for Pub Night.
WHEN: Around Lunch?
WHERE: Libby/Will's room.
WARNINGS: None.
STATUS: Complete.
While upcycling shirts had been a success, Maryam knew this cute t-shirt and heavily belted cargo shorts wouldn’t be enough for Pub Night. She actually cared about looking cute, so this haphazard ensemble just would not do for her. Actually, nothing back in her room would be suitable for Pub Night, which was why she was on a mission to find one of her classmates in the hopes there were some cute clothes left for her and possibly her roommate. After wandering the halls of the girl’s tower for a bit, she settled on the room where she was certain Libby lived. She then quickly adjusted her clothes and gave her hair a quick fluff before knocking on the door. Once it opened, Maryam gave a huge smile and a wave. “Hi! Are you the guy previously known as Libby?” In the background, Interpol was blasting as loudly as Libby's computer would let the music go, yet somehow Will had managed to hear the quick rap of knuckles against the wood. When he'd pulled open the door, he was confronted with -- actually, he had no idea who this might be. This school was confusing enough without throwing in more unfamiliar faces. "I am. I go by Will. And you were?" There really was never a dull day at IVI, though this probably had to be one of the weirder ones. “Well then hello there Will,” she answered as she stuck her hand out for a proper shake. “I was Davi. I go by Maryam now.” "Nice to meet you, formerly Davi," he greeted and offered an easy-grin as he stepped out of the way so she could enter. Realising that the music would only serve to hinder any possible conversation, he reluctantly turned it down a notch. "Did you want anything, or just here to hang, or?" “Nice to meet you as well,” she chirped as she walked into the room. While he turned down the music, Maryam shuffled over toward the window and took a good look around the room. So much prettier than the one she was in currently. “Well, I kinda did have a favor to ask you. Just a small one. Nothing big or anything.” "Your wish is my command," Will said wryly as he took a seat. He looked up at Maryam expectantly. "Shoot." “I like your thinking there.” It meant things would probably go her way, right? “Well as you can see, Davi really doesn’t have any close that fit me too well or that I really want to wear. So I was wondering if maybe I could borrow some of Libby’s so I don’t have to go to pub night looking like this?” Will looked her up and down briefly, assessing the outfit that she'd pulled together. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly going out material either. Not that he entirely understood the point of dressing up to have a maximum of three glasses of beer or whatever. Especially when none of them were really going anywhere. But hey, he'd never been to pub night, perhaps it was a custom he wouldn't fully understand until December. "Sure, closet's right there," he replied, pointing in the direction of Libby's wardrobe. "Go nuts." Obviously Davi didn’t understand the importance of a Pub Night outfit either judging from the clothing in his closet, but it was important to Maryam. It was her first time there, so naturally she had to look her best. And now she had been given free range of a closet, which caused her to actually squeal with delight and do a little jump. “Oh my God thank you!” Scampering over to the closet, she threw open the door and started to look through what Libby had to offer. “You are seriously a life saver here.” "You can try stuff on, if you want. I don't mind telling you what looks best," Will offered, trying to keep his grin minimal. “Even better!” Pondering over the selection once more, it only took her another second or two before she was grabbing at a blue top. “Okay. Turn around and look at the wall.” Will obliged -- after all, he wasn't going to object if she wanted him to watch her get changed -- but he wasn't a total perve either, so he kept his eyes fixed to the wall until she declared that he could turn around once again. "Not bad. Maybe try the cream?" he suggested, knowing Libby's wardrobe well from her store of memories. She had only known you about two or three minutes here, Will. At least wait until the ten minute mark for that sort of thing. Really. The smile she had as she turned around faded to a half frown as she looked down at the blue top. “What’s wrong with this one,” she asked before turning around to find said cream top. “Is it this one?” "Yeah that one." There wasn't anything wrong with the blue, but the cream was a nicer cut in general. Or something. Will seemed to know an alarming amount about clothes thanks to Libby. "Don't worry, I'm turning around again." This was good considering Maryam actually faltered a bit when deciding which top was cream. It really was hard to pick one when there were so many different tones. Davi’s clothing mainly consisted of black, blue, green, and the occasional pop of red. Turning around herself, the blue top was up over her head and the cream one was being shimmied on. “Okay! How does this one look” "Much better," Will declared. "I think there's jewellry and shit in a box at the bottom." Dropping to the ground, Maryam started scrounging around for the suggested box. “What about or bottoms? Like, should I wear pants or a skirt?” "Skirt, definitely." He jumped up helpfully to pick something out for her. "Libby usually pairs it with this?" Grabbing the box, she stood up right in front of Will. “Oh! That looks like it will go perfectly with this top!” She then shoved the box into his hands and grabbed the skirt. “This is wonderful. Totally wonderful.” "Anytime," he shrugged. Not like he could use any of this stuff anyway, may as well lend it out. "No chance you can sneak me a beer back?” “Oh man. I don’t know? Maybe if I can get extra drink tickets?” Maryam honestly didn’t know if that was even possible. “You can’t wish anymore?” "I can wish, I just need to someone else to do it for me," he explained. It was a long-shot anyway. "Only 10 months to go?" Maryam pouted. “You’ll get there soon! Then you can come drink with all the rest of the 95ers!” Then she leaned forward and pulled Will into a tight hug complete with a kiss on the cheek. “Thank you again.” "Yeah, yeah," he waved her off good-naturedly once released from the hug. "Go drink, have fun, score extra tickets, have an actual life. I'm just going to lie here and check tumblr." |
