"I can see the shoes later," Moa said, taking in the outfit once more. She wished that she could pull off things like that sometimes, all tight and glittery and stuff. But it wasn't what she was like, not really. "I've never been to a Halloween party. So this is really different. But I think so too because I bet you could do a lot of fun stuff if we had these parties more often."
As nervous as she was about her own costume, especially after Logan's double take, she hoped that she would look nice. Not too weird or anything.
"I had this fedora that Neve bought me," she explained, feeling her cheeks heat a little at the thought of how she'd made herself look that night with Alyosha's clothes and his fedora because that was what had brought it on. She still wouldn't look at him because he'd remember her as that girl (or maybe he wouldn't and she wasn't sure if that would be better or worse). "And Rose described these different eras and I said people wore pretty things in the 1920s and somehow we ended up deciding I would be a gangster. Like in an old movie. We even made my shoes black and white!"
