One hell of a lot of emails Bcc: Male Dormitory Head <pretendyaddress@ivi.edu.au>, Fraser Wolfe <fwolfe@ivi.edu.au>, Dayshift Doctor <pretendyaddress@ivi.edu.au> Subject:RFID Program
I'd like to request more information about the RFID program, including more information about the device itself and all of its possible uses, health risks, insertion procedures, as well as removal options. I should say upfront I don't consider 'classified information' to be a valid response when you're asking my permission to implant something in my body. I would also like to suggest other options, such as concealed RFID in clothing, shoes, jewelry, phones, or ID cards, and inquire about ingestible emergency devices to be carried on one's person rather than implanted inside.
Thank you, Jack Fuller Bcc: Senator Jeff Merkley, Senator Ron Wyden, Representative Earl Blumenauer, Representative Suzanne Bonamici Subject:RFID Program at IVI
I am writing to alert you to what I feel to be a violation of my rights as a US citizen while being detained at the International Vol Institute. The staff of IVI has decided to implement a RFID program, with the stated intention being to keep us safe from possible kidnappers. At present the program is voluntary, with the implication that we will not be allowed to participate in off-campus excursions and holidays, should we opt out. I am a legal and law abiding adult, who has committed no crime and has not joined any branch of the US Armed Forces. I have written before in protest of IVI's status as a mandatory institution, and write again to inform you of what I consider to be a dangerous shift in policy. At no point in history has the forced detainment of a minority group shown itself to be anything better than a gross infringement of human rights; to require that we submit ourselves to such indignity and potential danger before gaining our freedom is no less abhorrent to me. I strongly urge you as representatives of Portland, which has always been a progressive and open-minded community with regard to evolved humans, to do your best to cast light on this matter, both in Washington and at home.
Regards, Jackson M. Fuller To: Rooster Subject:RFID
Everyone should give this serious study and consideration. In my opinion, RFIDs are not something to be taken lightly even as external options. I've requested more information from Wolfe, my dorm head, and the staff doctor. I've also written to my Congresspersons in protest. As entertaining as you would all be at the beach, as much as I miss my family, these things are not worth the cost of my privacy, my liberty, and my safety. I will be refusing the tag for as long as possible, regardless of what I miss out on. I'm sure this isn't as serious an issue for some of you, but it's monumental for me. To: Lucy Fuller <joyofthemoment@gmail.com> From: Jack Fuller <idoallthevoices@gmail.com> Subject:RFID
Luce, I need you to do three things, I'm not dicking around. One, you have to tell Mom and Dad tonight. I know you don't want to, but it's not going to be possible for you to keep this a secret anymore. You told me, they monitor me, now they monitor you.
I need you to research RFID to an obsessive compulsive level of detail and send all the information you compile however you can; email, facebook, mail mail, scanned attachments, etc. IVI is instating voluntary implants, but you can't leave without one.
They're going to come offer this to you too, and they're going to sell it hard, that it's for your own protection, that should anyone ever try to take you, they can track you and come rescue you. In my opinion, the chances of an RFID saving your life are incredibly slim; about on par with an RFID costing you your life. In the meantime, the IVF will be able to use the RFID to track you, to compile information about you, to go big brother on you. You know I'm not a paranoid guy, you know I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but everything I know about this technology leads me to believe that it is a seriously scary thing. I don't want you to promise you won't do it, but I do want you to promise that you give it serious consideration.
I'm sorry this is all grim shit. If I had cheery information to give you too I would. I think about you a lot. Do you want me to give your email address to anyone else here, so you can talk to someone who isn't your brother about this?
Love, Jack To: Mom, Dad <atfuller@centurylink.net> From: Jack Fuller <idoallthevoices@gmail.com> Subject:News from IVI
So, they're planning on chipping us with RFIDs. Currently it's 'optional,' though if you don't opt to do it, you can't opt to leave. I don't know if this is going to apply to Christmas but I wanted to let you know now that it means I might not be home. Yes, I already wrote to all our reps, but you can too. When I know more about it I'll send more info. I'm sorry this is really short because internet time is almost up, but know that I'm okay and I love you all a lot. Also, talk to Lucy, she has something to tell you.
