Who: Roger and Oliver What: On a time-out from the Puddlemere vs Falmouth game Where: Quidditch World Cup Stadium When: 7 am, Sunday morning Rating: Low Status: Complete
The match had just hit twelve hours, and Roger was not surprised to hear his captain call for a time-out. By official quidditch rules, they could now take up to a two hour break, and players could be substituted should they be deemed too exhausted to play.
While he was certain no one else on the team was going to allow that just yet, their seeker was in desperate need of medical attention, and would not be returning to the match. Not after one of Falmouth's beaters had hit him directly with his bat three hours prior, claiming "he couldn't see" and that he "thought he was hitting a bludger."
Landing on the ground for the first time since that incident, Roger shook his head. Their reserve seekers were alright, but not up to par with Falmouth's seeker. And though Puddlemere was in the lead, they didn't have enough of a goal difference yet to cover the 150 points the Falcons would get if they caught the snitch.
And it was seven in the morning, with no end in sight. At least it was light out again.
Regrouping with the team, he met up with Oliver, giving his mate a look and saying only, "Bloody hell."
