Who: Seamus Finnigan and Ginny Weasley
What: Seamus’ drunken spell casting has gotten him into a pickle.
Where: Seamus’ Flat
When: Friday, June 17th
Rating: PG-13 for swearing?

Seamus sat on the floor just inside the door of his flat, legs crossed, chin resting on his hands. Of course Ginny had been right. Drinking and spell casting probably weren’t two things that should go together. Seamus considered himself lucky - his trousers hadn’t exploded and, far as he could tell, he was in one piece. No, his problem was a little less obvious, but nearly as inconvenient. Squirming slightly he cursed under his breath and hoped that Ginny would be there soon.

Ginny wasn't sure if Seamus was being serious about needing her help, but well, if something had gone wrong, it was obvious he was in no fit state to fix himself up. That, and there was a great possibility of it being hilariously funny.

So, Ginny made some excuses and appareted to Seamus' street and hurried up to his flat. The red head knocked on the door hesitantly, definitely sure she didn't want her jeans whipped off her if Seamus' spell actually had worked and he was just luring her there to prove it.
"Seamus? Open up, it's me," She called through the door.

“Ginny, I’m going to open the door. DO.NOT.STEP.THROUGH,” Seamus yelled, probably a bit louder than was necessary, but he had to take every precaution. He didn’t want Ginny to suffer the same ill fate as him.

Slowly the door opened and Seamus stood, looking sheepishly at the floor, but otherwise unharmed. “I tried to remove the spell but I don’t even know where I put my fuckin’ wand,” he said, his words occasionally slurring.

Ginny backed up just to be safe as he opened the door. She eyed the threshold cautiously, as if it might explode or attack her clothing at any moment, and slipped her wand out of her pocket.
"What did you..." She started to ask, but didn't finish. He looked pretty drunk, and she doubted he had any idea of the specific spell he cast.

And then something quite obvious, yet entirely easy to overlook, occurred to her, "wait. You're still wearing your trousers. What's wrong with that?"

“The spell didn’t work. I mean, it did, but it didn’t work right,” Seamus said. He put one hand on the door to steady himself before walking into the hallway. “They’re stuck,” he said flatly. “Like…glue. I can’t pull them down. I can’t open them. I can’t get them off.” He helplessly yanked at the black trousers that hung low on his hips. “And Ginny,” he said, grabbing her wrist, “this is an emergency.”

She tried not to laugh, she really, really did. But, well, she couldn't exactly help it if a few giggles slipped out.
"You're stuck.. in your trousers?" She said, fighting (and losing against) a smile, "Seamus.. that's... well ok. Right."
A few seconds more devoted to attempting to quell some laughter bubbling up in her throat and she lifted her wand, "Well, I suppose the easiest thing to do is just start with the basics."

She glanced around, making sure the coast was clear. She turned back and raised an eyebrow, "Didn't think today would end with me trying to get your trousers off Finnigan, that's for sure. Ok, Finite Incantatem!"

She flicked her wand and waited. And!
Nothing.

Seamus wasn't in the mood for witty comebacks. No, this was far too serious.

“This is NOT funny,” Seamus growled. He tried tugging at the waistband but it wouldn’t budge. “Oh my god, Ginny. You don’t understand. You do NOT understand,” he said, starting to panic. “I broke the seal, Gin,” he said, his face having gone pale.

She pressed her lips together but it wasn't going to stop her grinning.
"Ok. Ok, I'm sorry. I know... just.. dance or... imagine deserts or something!" She suggested, mentally filing through spells to try and find something that would stop his trousers sticking to him.

"Lessee, um.. Accio trousers?" She tried with no success, "Yeah that one was a bit of a stab in the dark. Er, how.. attached to these trousers would you say you are Seamus? Like, are they your favourite pair or..?"

“They can burn in hell if I get to piss somewhere that isn’t in them,” Seamus said quickly. “Anything you can think of. Just…try to keep my bits intact, that’d be nice,” he added. He bit his lower lip and furrowed his brow in concentration. “And stop smiling! You’re going to make me laugh and that wouldbesobad.”

"Right! Right. Ok," Ginny exhaled slowly to calm herself down, and stepped closer. No.. awkward angle...
"Urgh," She exclaimed before dropping to he knees in front of him, "Ok, now just DON'T MOVE ok? Merlin forbid I slip and cut something you actually like off."

She lined her wand up with the seam on the inside of his thigh as best she could and muttered, "Diffindo."
The sound of tearing followed the tip of her wand down, the fabric splitting apart. This wasn't her greatest moment, cutting her drunk friend out of his trousers so he could pee. Not something she was going to brag about she felt.

Standing still took considerable amounts of concentration. Seamus didn’t say a word until her wand was well past his crotch. “We’re never telling anyone about this, right?” he asked, just as her wand cut through the final threads holding his trousers together. The fabric fell to the floor and Seamus took a step back, a smile spreading across his face. "Brilliant. Thank you so much."

"Deal. No telling anyone I cut you out of your clothes," Ginny grinned as the last pieces of Seamus' trousers fell off his body, freeing him from the spell he cast on himself.
"Try not to get yourself wedged in anything else alright? Honestly, I should just confiscate your wand now and save you any more trouble till you sober up!"

"It's gone anyway," Seamus said, peering inside his flat. "But if I do find it, I promise not to use it," he added cheerfully. "Not be rude, but I really need to...er..." he gestured toward the door. He took a wobbly step toward it before stopping himself. "Actually, could you throw just one more Finite Incantatem at the door to be sure. Don't want anything else sticking."
