Who: Justin Finch-Fletchley and Hestia Jones [grab-me!.. again!]
What: Hospital Visiting
Where: St Mungos
When: Monday morning
Rating: Low.

Justin tapped on the door of her room before poking his head around. According to the nurses, Hestia was in much better condition and would probably be discharged today. So he'd probably left a visit a little late, but better late than never! And he'd brought flowers! Flowers definitely. counted for something
He opened the door and smiled at her, "Hello Hestia, I thought I'd pop in and see how you're doing."

Hes felt... awful. Just awful. And it wasn't the physical damage, more the psychological. She was meant to be a ministry official, she wasn't meant to be pushed around by some Death Eater, and she most certainly wasn't meant to help them get into Azkaban. And she might have. She did have cleared admittance.

Then again, how the heck had he gotten into her office? How had she not noticed him there when she'd come into work. One thing was for sure, she wasn't heading back to work anytime soon. But oh god, what if she was needed? Did she even still have a job? Did anyone know what had happened to her?

She suddenly realized that the person entering her room wasn't a nurse, but was instead someone she knew. And you know what? She was kind of glad. "Hello Justin." She said, managing the smallest of smiles. It wasn't because she was trying to be rude - she just didn't have much to smile about these days. She noticed the flowers, and really, they did look lovely.

Justin nodded to her, acknowledging her greeting. He put the flowers down carefully on one of the bedside cabinets that had enough space.
"These ones are from me. Your office is a mess of flowers from your department. They figured it'd be better not to crowd a hospital room with them," He said, sitting down and rubbing his hands together.

Hospitals, specifically St Mungos, freaked him out a little. He'd spent time in hospital after his experience in Azkaban under Death Eater rule. He still hadn't quite managed not to link the two experiences in his mind.
"How are you?" He asked, "You look good."

She looked sunk. She looked upset, and though the mediwitches had given her the best treatment, he was certain he could still see some brusing around her eyes. But Justin did his best to keep his face a pleasant smile.

She gave him a smile. "Thank you. They're lovely, and they do brighten the room." She said. She gave him another weak smile at what he said next, and shook her head. "I really don't, I look about as good as I feel right now." She sighed, glancing out of the window. She'd started doing things like that lately - checking her environment to make sure that nobody was there. It had almost become a nervous tick.

"So... What's going on at work now?" She asked. She actually wanted to ask "What's going on in general right now?", but she wasn't entirely sure that she could handle the information that would come with the answer she would get. She was glad that he kept smiling though - it gave her the illusion that things would be okay. That things were okay. That said, she was fairly sure that things really weren't okay.

Justin fought off a frown as she turned the conversation toward the Ministry. Of course, he knew she would, but it didn't mean he had to be happy about it.
"Weeell," He started, sitting back in his chair, "Your department is taking a beating for letting someone like that get access to you. Apparently no one saw him go into your office and none of the intruder wards were tripped. The only person anyone knows about was the mail intern, and they saw him come back out again. He's been in for questioning about six times though... I'm pretty sure they're barking up the wrong tree, but when you have a hammer..."

He paused and tapped his knee idolly, "The Aurors are in trouble too. People are accusing the security at the prison of being too lax, and a few arseholes, sorry, pardon my french, have been having a go at Minister Kingsley's law against the Dementors, saying that if they'd been in Azkaban, Lestrange wouldn't have gotten past the door."

He offered her another smile, "But don't worry. I think with you being here you've dodged any bullets they might've sent your way any other time. No one's calling for your resignation. You'll be ok..."

Unfortunately, Hestia loved her job. And her department. And everything that went with it. She nodded as Justin explained. "Poor Kevin..." She trailed, thinking of the intern. He'd only started a few weeks before - he was probably scared off for life by now. She shook her head, refocussing on what he was saying now.

"No, no, say it as it is." She urged him. She personally agreed that things needed to be sorted out, especially seeing as there was currently no Minister. Who was meant to be in charge? Hestia was sure glad she wasn't it.

"Good." She said, thanking Merlin for the small mercy that her job was safe, and that she was safe, too. Despite it all, she was sure she wanted to return to work, and get the department back into order. "Of course, the Auror's are stretched a bit thin right now... we need more recruits." She admitted. "How are things for you?" She asked, knowing that Justin's office was probably still a huge mess.
