"You please her," she answered immediately and honestly. What could be considered somewhat schmaltzy by some was nothing more than sincerely expressed appreciation in Ananya's case. She utterly adored her husband, who gave her everything she'd always longed for despite their somewhat unorthodox beginning. Perhaps it was because they'd gotten to know each other as individuals, rather than simply combining their titles, that made their marriage so satisfying. But the truth was, what pleased Ana was Charles; she'd be utterly lost without him.
"And yes, you have been too tired for me," she told him, "but you ignored that you were too tired, and then you suffered for it. I will not have that, Charles. If you need the rest, then rest is what shall happen. But if you have a bit of energy left, I had an idea how we might cool down a bit more."
The devilish grin returned then, as she added, "It's probably a smidge naughty, definitely a bit risque, but it would feel so good. Will you come outside with me, dearest husband? Or shall we simply retire now."
