Charles could be stern, he could be strict, but above it all it came out of wanting the best for everyone when possible and out of genuinely caring too much. Which meant if it wouldn't have been grossly inappropriate, he would have given her a hug. This poor girl would benefit from some time with his wife. Obviously she felt lost and unsure of herself and Charles could think of no one more suited to help a girl gain ground than his Queen.
