Felix was used to dressing and undressing on his own when he ventured out on some of his trips, so he didn't bother with a valet when he reached his room. He simply stripped quickly and redressed in something more suitable to staying in. It was probably simpler than his parents would prefer, and really, he should be setting an example for Ella, but he genuinely loathed being told what to wear.
Once comfortably attired, Felix made his way back to the library. Though he didn't want to admit it, he was half hoping that the girl would have grown tired of waiting, or perhaps become bored, and move on to some other past time. It wasn't that he disliked her. He just had no idea what to do with her.
But no, there she was, reading as he'd suggested. For the second time that day, Felix swallowed the urge to walk away from the library before she noticed him. Instead, again, he walked in to the room. "My apologies if I've been gone too long. I hope you were not bored while I was away."
Felix held out his hand in an offer. "If you are not too enraptured with whatever story you have found, I will take you down to the kitchen." He smiled at her. "You can let the cook know of your restorative recipe."
