He might be willing to put his troubles on the back burner, but Uhura doubted that they would keep so easily in her mind. She was already starting to worry more than she probably should, but she'd respect his wishes. At least until the worries got to be too much for her. Settling her hands lightly on the sides of his face, Uhura offered him a sad smile, leaning up and kissing his forehead.
"You know where I am if you ever need to talk," Uhura said before grinning, wider and more playful. "And if you ever change your mind, I've dealt with a lion before. Pretty sure I could string up a Captain, no matter how crafty his wiles are," She said with a wink.
She was teasing, playing, but really, she was just trying to make him feel better. Anything that might work.
