Death was bored, which was actually more common than one might think. She had left her work to her own and everything would run smoothly. A situation like this deserved her personal attention. It was just so interesting. So many of her own were here. The Captain was one of her favourites. He'd always been rather special to her, however fleeting their meetings were.
She was wandering aimlessly, when she spotted the blue box. The Time Lord was another fascinating individual. He was always changing with each minor death. And he lost so many. She remembered each one. One day he too would join her, but not for some time. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't have a bit of a visit.
"Hello," she said, walking up beside him and falling into pace with him.
