There was a flicker of... something across his face, at Gabriel's words, but Noah's expression remained neutral enough. He wasn't really pleased at the thought of never seeing his house again, but he really was okay with it in the long run. He'd miss it, though.
"They have schools here, right?" he questioned next, forgetting his attempts not to rise up on his knees in the chair as he did his best to see inside the bowl of ingredients from his spot in the kitchen. Licking his lips slightly, he blinked and peered back at Gabriel. Then he grinned.
"I'm s'posed to start school next year," he stated with a matter-of-fact nod before twisting around so he was sitting on the chair then sliding off, onto the floor. He padded his way to Gabriel's side, rising on his tiptoes and gripping the countertop as he tried to peer into the bowl.
