"Good," Noah said, relief evident in his voice. "They weren't very nice." At the question, his thought process instantly shifted and he smiled excitedly.
"Yes!" he exclaimed, nodding in tandem with his answer. "We don't want to make him worry." He giggled a bit at the thought, arm swinging lightly as he peered back around. This place was different from home but he thought he could get used to it. His dad was here, and so was Uncle Peter, so it couldn't be that bad, right?
"I'm glad you're here, dad," he confided in his father a few moments later, voice quiet but no less pleased. "The talking computer was fun and all, but I'd rather be with you." He smiled at him, then, the smile of a son who very clearly idolized his father, before bouncing a bit on his toes. "Now let's go! I want to see our new place!"
