Who: Remus and Sirius (closed) Where: Sirius' Flat When: July 7, after this. Status: Incomplete
Remus had gathered up some biscuits and a few slices of cake, along with a heaping serving of roast beef and mashed potatoes that his mother had laden him with, concerned for Sirius' health, apparently, once Remus mentioned he hadn't the faintest idea how to cook.
He'd been planning on going to London anyway, to keep looking for a flat. He'd tried a few days earlier, in anticipation of his dismal internship results - which, as expected, had come out as flat refusals across the board. He was determined not to stay at home and be a burden to his family, however, and whatever he had to do to make sure that didn't happen, he would.
There were unique issues constraining his flat choice - it had to be cheap, of course, as cheap as possible until he could find a job. He was also hoping, perhaps in vain, for something with a decent basement, or walls of brick. All he needed was one solid room to work with and he could do the charms and wards himself. There wasn't a shack to go to, anymore, and he didn't want to go home every month, visiting his parents onlt to be locked in a room at the back of the house. They'd had gone through enough of that. He didn't want them to worry about him, so it was best if he seemed as independent as humanly possible, even if it meant eschewing some comforts.
In the mean time, there was still visiting friends to do, and when he apparated into a London alleyway close to Sirius' new address, it became immediately apparent that there was no way he was getting any looking at flats done today, not with a sack full of food on his back. He walked into the building after being recognized by the charms at the door as a welcome visitor, and climbed up to Sirius' flat, giving the door a light courtesy knock before opening it.
