No matter how much he liked to complain about Auror training, Greg had to admit that he'd be a bit lost without it. He loved it--it was challenging and interesting and he liked learning something different everyday, different ways to deal with situations and different charms and spells. Some of it was, admittedly, not as interesting as other bits but it gave him a purpose, something to look forward to. Still, although he did enjoy his training, since starting his second year he hadn't really done a lot besides train. He was excited at the idea of going out and having a few drinks.
Greg shoved his feet into a pair of red trainers, smirking slightly as he remembered Dorcas saying something about red trainers making feet look like they were on fire. He popped his head in to his every one of his roommates, to let them know he was heading out and then headed out of the building, toward the Leaky Cauldron. It was a nice night with only the slightest breeze and so Greg decided to walk it.
The streets were mostly clear as Greg made his way down Diagon Alley and he suddenly realised that it was a Monday night; the Leaky probably wouldn't be all that busy. Sure enough, the bar area was mostly empty. There were a couple of people sitting in booths or at tables, drinking, and they looked like work colleagues or relatives. He tilted his head in acknowledgment at the few he knew and made his way to the bar. He'd arrived a bit earlier than he'd intended to so he ordered a pint and slid into a few bar stool.
