Anger? Oh, Mulciber had no idea. She was about ready to rip his tongue out the next time he "tsked" at her. But what made Mary even angrier was that she knew she would never do it. If it was anyone else, she would slap them. She would hex them, she would call them a hundred awful names for talking about her and her family like that. Mary MacDonald wasn't a push over, but Sheldon Mulciber made her insides freeze. She was terrified of him in a way that she wasn't terrified of anyone else, and what really made her stomach turn was knowing that this was exactly how he wanted her to feel- he won.
"I don't think so," Mary said very shortly, which was true. She would be rooming with other interns from the Prophet, and as far as she knew, that was Greta and Gilderoy Lockhart. Gilderoy seemed like a blessing compared to Mulciber- the perfect roommate, really. Then a thought hit her; Mulciber wasn't interning at the Prophet, was he? She didn't think of him as much of a journalist, but she wouldn't dare ask, lest she remind him exactly where she was interning.
