He shook his head, telling her it was fine without using his words. If this was his biggest incident of the day he'd die a happy man. While he wasn't expecting to have to evacuate the fairgrounds or go into damage control mode over some sort of sudden crisis or public health incident, they still had a few days of the fair to go, so saying anything now would be a little bit premature.
Losing interest in what was probably just a visitor acting a little strangely, Ben turned around fully and shuffled to the side to let people pass.
"Technically I'm not working this event, but just keeping an eye out... mostly for tourists it seems. Not expecting any surprises," he reassured. And he had a good way of being reassuring even if he happened to be lying, what with that calm and relaxed demeanour, but in this case he really meant it.
"I didn't think there'd be lots of people moving in and out for a small town like this, but you seem to be busy yourself. Hope you'll be taking it easy with the 4th coming up?"
