So, her first week in Stormvale had been... a roller-coaster. She'd gotten the interview long before she showed up, interviewed before she officially moved, and got the job and started around the same day she actually moved. All of that went rather flawlessly, and Danielle was extremely grateful for that. However, with the awkward run-in with her dad who either ignored her flat out because he hates or or honest-to-God didn't remember her, she was feeling pretty down. No, worse than down. Danielle was feeling really lonely. She missed her friends, hell she even missed her mother even if things with her weren't all that great, either.
That's why, when she saw someone asking for help building furniture and offering cookies in exchange, Danielle jumped on the opportunity. She didn't even check to see if anyone else really offered - the more the merrier, right? She wanted to meet some friends in town, build some kind of connection here. She had signed a lease and had to stay for a while because of the stupid contract, so she might as well make some connections. Forget her stupid dad and his stupid problems. Forget everything else. This was supposed to be a new start. A dumb place to pick for a new start but, a safe place. She hoped.
Never one to show up empty handed, Danielle made sure to bring something with her. She had a little gift basket of pregnancy essentials and made her way to the address Becca had given her. She wanted to make a good first impression, and bringing something over and helping build a crib was nice, right? Although her general go-to was to be off-putting, mean, and generally unfriendly... it was a lonely existence. She'd found the few friends before that could handle that, people who had known her for years. Now she was somewhere entirely new, she might actually have to try.
The way there wasn't far, just a few minutes' drive. Pulling up to the mobile home, she parked in an available space and got the gift basket out of the car. Making her way to the door, she set the basket down and knocked.
