He noted the slip but didn't comment. He could guess where she'd been going with that, and he wasn't going to pry. Her business was her business, and most of the time he was fine staying out of people's business. Every once in a while ... he'd find a need to get involved. For the most part though ... not so much.
Though from her statement, her expression, he had to wonder a little what she was if not worried. He figured it was related to the earlier catch, and wasn't his concern.
He grunted slightly in agreement with her sentiment. "Yeah, we have our own version of normal here and it ain't what other places call normal." The forgetting outside of town, the quirks disabling outside of town, all of that was part of this, too. He wondered sometimes how many other people had retreated back here when their quirk could've saved someone, something, out in the world. If he'd had his ability back when he needed it ... well, he wouldn't have come back here to drink himself into oblivion.
"They tell you about the quarry yet?" He saw no reason she'd necessarily need to go there, but if she was the type to explore, she might come across it.
