Beach - Simone, Miah, open
As she happened to be looking back toward the crowd at the right time, Simone caught Miah's nodded greeting and matched it with her own. She recognized him and was sure if pressed she'd come up with a name eventually but for the moment, it didn't matter all that much; she could be friendly without having a formal 'me Joe, you Jane' greeting. "Hey," she returned easily, waving a sparkler by way of her own greeting. Festive, right?
Then it came to her. The guy from the theatre. The one with vampirism. Who she should maybe not be waving something fire-lit at. Uh. Oops. She nonchalantly lowered the sparkler as if it wasn't a big deal, which it probably wasn't and she was just making a mountain out of a molehill. Anyways, moving right along.
"Needed a break from the crowd too?" she queried, gesturing to the sand beside her, "Good news: there's plenty of breathing room over here." She offered an abbreviated smile. "Simone, by the way. I'm pretty sure we've met before, but just in case."
Well, maybe 'me Joe, you Jane' was where it was at, after all.
