"Construction," he replied. "Some private, some public," he added with a slight grin. "Wherever there's work. I'm down in the quarry the next week or so and I'm not real sure I'm looking forward to that," he admitted, the corners of his eyes crinkling again before he laughed quietly.
He didn't mind working with rocks because they got to use the explosives a lot more down there, but the freakshow pockets of anti-gravity had fucked up more than one person and he wasn't interested in being the one that got fucked up. He'd been all kinds of lucky so far and figured he was about due.
"Think I'm going to start a move the quarry petition," he decided, though that admittedly was probably inspired by his recent discussion with John about petitions. Which reminded him he had to ask Miri if she'd host drunk monkey Jeopardy just to see what she'd say. The thought made him grin a little, and he looked around briefly to see if he could spot her, but he didn't think she'd had plans to come out. Then again ... he hadn't exactly asked.
