Re: Beach - Simone, Miah, open
Miah had been itching for dusk to fall even more than usual. Whenever there was anything special happening in town, it was all he could do to contain himself until he could safely leave his apartment. He was dressed in blue swim trunks and a flag-motif t-shirt and flip flops, and once he'd reached the beach, he wandered through the crowd saying hi to people he knew and people he didn't, pleased that he didn't have to work tonight.
It might seem crazy for a vampire to place himself in the midst of bonfires and fireworks, but he didn't think it was likely that anyone would try to light him up, and he knew enough to stay clear of actual fire itself.
Miah had a handful of sparklers that someone had been handing out, although he didn't have a lighter. Someone else around here would have one. He found himself wandering along out of the main throng of people, and he squinted as he caught sight of someone sitting a little out of the way. She looked familiar, although he couldn't think of her name; he thought one or more of his siblings was friends with her. "Hey," he said, nodding a greeting.
