She laughed at his comment about not being scheduled for day shifts. "Probably a relief, that," she pointed out, "I always see ads for people wanted for night shifts because the daywalkers don't want to do it. You've got an advantage, right there." She knew she had trouble staffing evening shifts, but Starlord's was hardly a 24 hour joint. Though, now that she thought about it, that wouldn't be a bad idea for people like Miah who worked nights. Something to bring up to the manager then.
As that thought trailed off, the first fireworks lit up the night sky, playing from the radio nearer the fire having shifted to accommodate the performance and a telltale "ooooh" coming from that direction as well. "Showtime," she murmured observantly, adding with a laugh, "Fireworks are probably the most normal thing this town does."
