Park Puppies

Where: the dog park
Status: Open, ongoing
It was interesting, living with someone. Well, having a temporary houseguest, she supposed was more accurate, but ... maybe not so much with the temporary. But maybe. They hadn't really talked about it, but they'd been doing a lot of other sorts of catching up. She didn't want to assume anything, and she didn't want to push anything, but she definitely wasn't in a rush to get him into his own place, either. It was comfortable though, and she figured maybe some time this weekend she'd sit him down and see what he thought, and if they agreed to give living together a shot, if he wanted to get a fence around the backyard. She knew all the good contractors, after all. But while he was out at the tattoo shop, orienting himself there, April figured the least she could do was take his dog out to the park to burn off some energy. She'd never had a dog before, though she had nothing against them, and that was another interesting aspect of things. Fortunately, Bear was old enough to be well past the puppy teething stage and they'd acclimated him to the new location of his I need to go out bells, so all was well in that regard. Clipping on his leash, she led the lab mix to her car (where she had a seat cover down for just this occasion) and headed off to the park. It was a short enough drive, and since they'd taken him here before he knew where they were as was evidenced by the excited wagging of his tail. April grinned as she parked, and led the dog to the gates leading into the dog park, unclipping his leash once he was inside and the gate was closed behind him. She watched with a laugh as he took off toward a group of dogs he'd met before, and she wandered over to one of the benches near the fence to sit down and keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't get into any trouble. |
