Jake grinned. "Yeah?" But he didn't think he was all that surprised; Eli had been pretty artistic in school and he didn't really think that had changed. "Tell you what. I'll be your first customer and you can tattoo something on my butt," Jake volunteered with a laugh. Granted, he wasn't really being serious, but he figured if he was going to get a random spur of the moment tattoo, his butt would be the place to go.
His brows lifted as he shrugged. He got it though; it could be weirdly awkwardly complicated if this was just a sparks thing that fizzled out. Personally he didn't think that'd be the case, but they had been apart a long time and who was to say how they'd changed? "Well, I guess when she starts leaving brochures and listings around where you can see them, you'll know it's time to bail," he joked.
"Kind of," he agreed. "Figured if I'm not settled by 40, I'll declare permanent bachelorhood, kick Cassi out, and turn the whole house into a mancave." He figured sooner or later his sister was going to bail anyway, but that wasn't anything he was going to rush.
