"Small town. It goes like lightning. Especially when you've done something so notable to your face," he continued, tilting his head slightly as he squinted at the ink. "Bold statement. What were you going for with that?" He teased, more or less expecting a smartass answer.
"Settled," he nodded. "Where, so I know where to show up to stalk you," he continued. He figured one of the apartments, but maybe a house; they were all getting to the house part of life, he thought.
Jake shrugged. "Busy. Let's see, twelve years in five minutes ..." he began thoughtfully before he laughed quietly. "Good. Bought a house, and the tiny sibling followed me. No one of note got married, no one got divorced, no kids ..." He tapped a finger against the table top. "No one we know died ..." He nodded as he continued to think.
