Who: Fin, Derek What: Saturday Morning Zen When: Saturday 15th July, early morning Where: Rainshower Falls Status: Closed, ongoing
It was still quite early in the morning, an hour or so past sunrise, as Fin walked from town along an all too familiar route to the Falls, he had taken this trail thousands of times and although years had passed he was still sure he could walk it with his eyes closed. It was partly cloudy but the warmth of the early sun made it warm enough to be pleasant. The Falls and the beach had always been his two favorite places in town, now he was back he planned on visiting both on a very regular basis and what better excuse than getting some early morning yoga done before it got too busy with the usual weekend summer rush?
Once he arrived at the Falls he let his mind relax and clear to the sound of the water cascading down from the plateau above, now he really did feel at home. Putting his bag down he took out his mat, unrolling it on a flat section of ground facing the falls before kicking off his shoes and setting up the timer on his phone so that every two minutes a chime would play and he would change poses. It usually took an hour to go through his usual poses before he'd finish up with some meditation, providing he didn't get distracted or interrupted, it didn't happen often but if someone wanted to join him who was he to say no?
After some stretches to warm up he started the timer, put the phone into the band on his arm, closed his eyes and began his routine to the background sound of the falls. It didn't take him long to zone out to all sounds but the water and his chime.
